NEW STAFF FACILITY

Virgin Holidays 24/7 call centre in Crawley had no on-site food facility. As many of the staff enjoy regular short breaks there was a need for an inexpensive facility to keep them on-site and feed them quickly. This site now enjoys the standard set up with a weekly site visit. The staff are young and make most use of the hot tasty breaded products.

OUT OF HOURS' SERVICE

Honda’s 3 car plants at Swindon all have staff canteens, which satisfy their catering needs during standard factory hours, Monday to Friday. The need was for an inexpensive ‘out of hours’ breakfast and weekend service to operate alongside the canteens. The equipment in use for each car plant is one vending machine, two microwaves & a cabinet. Two microwaves are used to cater for periods of peak demand. This solution for Honda was at a considerable saving on the costs of an alternative manned canteen service.

CANTEEN REPLACEMENT

Having taken the decision to close their staff canteens, News Printers needed a ‘hot food service’ for their staff. After looking at numerous alternatives the Bon Appetit service was chosen for their new flagship operation at Broxbourne, Herts. The range and quality of the food was a key factor in choosing Bon Appetit, together with the speed of the service. Two microwaves are used to cope with peak demands.

‘OUT OF HOURS’ SERVICE

Merrill Lynch use the Bon Appetit service on 3 City sites, including their flagship St Pauls offices. The service operates on each site with one A La Carte Vending Machine, two Commercial Microwaves and a Microwave Cabinet. The service operates alongside their canteen facilities and other standard drinks & confectionary vending machines. The service is particularly aimed at catering for staff outside of standard office hours, when the canteen is closed. Their sites are fully-managed with an on-site presence to replenish the machines as and when demand dictates.
